Unlike glass or aluminum, canvas has a soft tone and exudes tranquility. Thanks to its matte surface, it is also non-reflective – ideal for any room.

No, absolutely not. Our canvas products are in a completely different league. We use real canvas fabric (not plastic) and professional stretcher bars with a rounded edge for a refined, luxurious finish. Each print is produced with razor-sharp precision using an 8-color printer and stretched by hand. This is craftsmanship, not a mass-produced item.

The canvas is hand-stretched onto stretcher bars – these are wooden bars that are under tension and ensure a taut and lasting result. Thanks to the bead on the front of the frame, the canvas gets a slight curve, which gives the whole a professional depth and prevents the canvas from coming into contact with the wood.

Yes, canvas is a natural product – made from cotton or linen – and can loosen up slightly over time due to temperature changes or humidity. Fortunately, this is very normal and easy to fix.

Our canvases are stretched on real stretcher bars. These are wooden frames with small wooden wedges (keys) in the corners. By gently tapping these keys a little further into the slots with a small hammer, you retension the canvas. Do this evenly per corner and carefully – a few millimeters is often enough.

Tip:
First, check if the canvas is truly sagging or rippling. For slight stretching,
retensioning is not immediately necessary. Also, do not hang your canvas directly above a
heat source or in an extremely humid room, to prevent excessive tension or shrinkage.

Your Wandkraft canvas always comes with a free, easy-to-use hanging system. This way, you can hang your new artwork directly on the wall, without any hassle.

Step-by-step hanging guide:

1. Check the back of the canvas
   Here you will find the pre-mounted hanging system or the included hanging brackets.
2. Determine the right spot on the wall
   Use a spirit level to hang the canvas straight and lightly mark the drill or nail points.
3. Attach the hanging points to the wall
   Depending on your wall type (concrete, brick, plaster), use rawlplugs or nails. We recommend a sturdy screw with a rawlplug for maximum security.
4. Hang the canvas
   Rest the canvas with the hanging system on the screw or hook. Thanks to its light weight, it hangs securely and flush against the wall.

Extra tip:

Did you choose a floating frame? Then the canvas is attached to the frame, and you hang the entire piece at once. Even then, the hanging points ensure a stable and elegant presentation.

A Wandkraft canvas is made of high-quality canvas and requires careful, mild cleaning. Fortunately, cleaning is simple and quick.

Here's how to safely clean your canvas:

1. Use a dry, soft cloth
   A microfibre cloth is ideal for gently wiping away dust and light dirt.
   Always work with light pressure and do not rub too hard.
2. For slightly more stubborn dirt
   Take a lightly damp cloth (only with water, no cleaning agent!) and gently dab the spot. Do not rub – this can damage the ink or distort the canvas.
3. Avoid cleaning agents and chemicals
   These can damage the print or cause stains. Never use glass cleaner, all-purpose cleaner, or scouring pads.

Additional tips:

• Preferably, do not clean your canvas too often; dusting is usually sufficient.
• Do not hang the canvas in rooms with high humidity or directly above a heat source – this prevents mould formation or loss of tension.

Our canvas prints are stretched on a sturdy wooden stretcher bar frame with a thickness of 2 cm. This depth creates an elegant, floating appearance on the wall, without looking too heavy or clunky.

Thanks to the bead on the front of the frame, the canvas also gets a subtle curve, which contributes to the luxurious finish and prevents the canvas from touching the wood.

An additional border is then added around it, making the whole look slightly deeper. The tray frame adds an extra layer of elegance and depth, without detracting from the minimalist design.
